Investable Megatrends – The five changes in science, technology and society which will profoundly impact investment strategies within the next five years

As we look through the constant barrage of market noise, short term fads, and the distractions of an increasingly ‘connected’ world, we begin to see some of big challenges facing the long-term investor. The ebb and flow of various cycles — be they economic, business or political can add a further layer of complexity to investment decisions. But it’s what lies beneath these short term dynamics that reveals some rather profound ‘megatrends’ at work.

In this context, Zurich Investments has launched a new whitepaper, titled ‘Investable Megatrends’. The purpose of the whitepaper is to explore in detail, the five major megatrends that are both investable, and likely to influence investment strategies over the next five years and beyond. We discuss how the megatrends are all interrelated and how, by understanding them, they can translate into suitable investment opportunities.
